A few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

Snow flakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes

Silver-white winters that melt into springs

These are a few of my favorite things

I was recently in Nairobi after a 1 year 7 month hiatus. I would never have thunk that I would stay away from home for that long. There have been numerous questions surrounding the reason it took me this long to come back home... Covid, grief, uncertainty. Life happens!

While in Nairobi, I visited some of my favorite restaurants and some new...totally loved it all. For those of you who don't know me, food is my love language, I love to share, cook and experience food with my family and friends, yes including my loving Mashakura crew. Sadly, I took zero photos and can only tell y'all about it. I spoke to a few vendors about their products and of-course spoke to them about how we can partner to bring their products into the Uganda market as I believe these products would do well here...

That being said the above photo has a few of my favorite food items, some of which are already half gone as I publish this post and its only been three days since I got back. To my friends and family who are producing these products, thank you.
